Adriaan Dekker is best known for his cleverly adjustable and multifunctional shelving units marked by primary colours and industrial style. His characteristic designs reflect the De Stijl movement which promoted a modern visual language of simplicity and purity. Products designed by Dekker were very popular in the mass market in the mid-twentieth century before they became sought-after collectibles nowadays.
