Calvin Hui & Mark Peaker
Calvin Hui is an acclaimed cultural entrepreneur, art advisor, collector and curator based in Hong Kong. Recognised as one of the leading figures in the local art scene, he has been active in promoting modern and contemporary Chinese art over the years, with a focus on promoting ink art.
Since retiring from a diversified international career in finance in 2001, Mark co-founded 3812 Gallery with Calvin Hui, one of the leading contemporary galleries in Hong Kong. Mark is the Chairman of Shakespeare 4 All, an NGO focused on using theatre for the benefit of children's education and development. In addition, Mark was a past Vice-Chairman of fundraising for the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children, one of Hong Kong's oldest charities.
Calvin and Mark share a passion for living with art and design collectibles; aside from their extensive art collection, their specific interests cover mid century design furniture, silver and glass collectibles.
Christy CheungChristy Cheung is a passionate art writer and editor whose research interests include modern and contemporary art, the interaction between cultural heritage and contemporary culture, art and technology, as well as women artists and women subjects. Strongly believing in the social impact of art, she founded a non-profit organization which focuses on empowering young women through creativity and technology, and she also serves as a consultant for various non-profit social art projects. Christy holds a MA in Art History, and she has been the chief editor and writer for Collect Art Journal since inception in 2017.
Florence Tsai is a public figure and creative entrepreneur who is passionate about art and design. Prior to joining Collect as a specialist and business manager, Florence edited magazines such as Tatler Hong Kong and Prestige Magazine, and worked in auction houses such as Sotheby’s and Seoul Auction. In addition, Florence is also a presenter and public speaker, hosting various shows and programmes in the past. She graduated from Columbia University in the city of New York with a BA in Art History and is a Pink Partner of the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation.
