Brazilian ceramist artist based in London

Born in Brazil and formerly trained as an architect, Valéria Nascimento finds inspiration from the interconnection between natural and urban landscapes. Currently based in London, the artist renders clay in botanical forms to explore the pattern and rhythm of nature, and their relationship with the built environment. Orchestrating a harmonious symphony between the organic and the manmade, her works imbue their surrounding space with tranquility, elegance and airiness. Underlining both the delicacy and perpetual order of nature, her works also serve as a reminder of the deteriorating natural environment. Nascimento has collaborated with many international brands and her works can be found in many public places and private residences around the world.
