3812 Gallery is proud to announce "Painting of Entropy — Liu Guofu Solo Exhibition", opening at the Rothko Museum on 5 June 2026. This landmark presentation marks a significant chapter in Liu’s artistic journey.

Co-organised by the Rothko Museum and 3812 Gallery, and supported by MGM, the exhibition features several new works that further Liu’s exploration of material and medium, and his poetic interpretation of entropy — not as decline, but as transformation and renewal.
 
As we celebrate 15 years of 3812, this milestone offers an opportunity to reflect on our enduring collaboration with Liu. From his first presentation at 3812 in 2012, to his solo exhibitions with us in Hong Kong in 2016 and London in 2018, the inclusion of his monumental work Awakening (2021) in the MGM Chairman’s Collection, and a landmark exhibition in collaboration with Sotheby’s Hong Kong during its 50 Years in Asia celebration in 2023, his journey embodies our shared commitment to patience, conviction, and sustained dialogue.
