Utopian Land – Three-Men Exhibition in London

1 May - 14 June 2026 London
Overview

3812 Gallery London is thrilled to present “Utopian Land”a three-men exhibition in our basement salon, furthering the quiet dialogues across geographies and psychic states initiated by the "A Dystopian Dream" solo exhibition by Shang Chengxiang on the ground floor. This exhibition will be on view at our London gallery from 1 May to 14 June 2026

"Utopian Land” offers a companion—not as a simple opposite, but as a more fragile, introspective counterpoint.

This three-men exhibition brings together Curtis Chan (b.1989), Shang Chengxiang (b.1985), and Thomas Ngan (b.1995)—artists who approach the idea of utopia not as a perfected destination, but as a space of longing, memory, invisibility, and unresolved emotion. Chan constructs dreamlike, mismatched landscapes born from travel and nostalgia. Shang builds emotional thresholds between the real and the imagined. Ngan attends to the invisible—love, grace, light—through leaves, florals, and painterly texture.

We extend our gratitude to the artists for their trust and vision, and to our colleagues in Hong Kong and London who made this presentation possible. It is our hope that “Utopian Land” invites you to slow down, to dwell in the in-between, and to encounter utopia not as an answer, but as a feeling.
