Art Busan 2026: Booth B-26 | Natalie Cheng and Four Hong Kong Young Artists

22 - 24 May 2026 Art Fairs
Overview

3812 Gallery is delighted to participate in Art Busan 2026 with a solo presentation by Natalie Cheng (b. 1992), titled “As I Am”. Marking Cheng’s debut in Korea, the exhibition features the latest body of work that extends her ongoing inquiry into the fluid states between becoming and being.

Developed in dialogue with an accompanying poem, I Am, and the artist’s statement, "As I Am" invites viewers into a space where inner transformation is felt as both rupture and release, grounding and expansion. Cheng's works trace this passage through layered atmospheres and subtle shifts in energy, guiding viewers through cycles of ignition, dissolution, illumination, and embodiment.

Alongside Cheng's solo exhibition is a curated group exhibition featuring four Hong Kong young artists: Eric Lai Wai Lam (b. 1990), Kwan Yung Yee (b. 1991), Joanne Chan (b. 1992), and Thomas Ngan (b. 1995). By bringing these young Hong Kong voices to Busan—one of Korea’s leading cultural hubs—3812 aims to connect new audiences with the city’s evolving art scene, and foster broader cross-cultural exchange within the global art landscape.
