The Ascent: 15 Years of 3812 Gallery - Anniversary Exhibition
As the 2026 Hong Kong Art Month anticipates, 3812 Gallery is pleased to present “The Ascent: 15 Years of 3812 Gallery – Anniversary Exhibition”, inviting audiences to witness this milestone when we celebrate the gallery’s 15th anniversary. “The Ascent: 15 Years of 3812 Gallery – Anniversary Exhibition” opens from 19 March to 7 May 2026, with an Opening Reception on Thursday, 19 March at 6 - 8pm.
Fifteen years ago, co-founders Calvin Hui and Mark Peaker embarked on a journey inspired by the Aiguille du Midi ridge (3,812 m) in Chamonix—a symbol of new horizons and the courage to face challenges.
"The Ascent: 15 Years of 3812 Gallery – Anniversary Exhibition" embodies two guiding principles: continuous striving (ascent) and the transformative power of change. We are thrilled to present works from 12 artists across generations, each piece reflects the artists' journeys of adaptation and reinvention, weaving a rich narrative of human creativity.
This exhibition celebrates our past and inspires us to embrace the future—a journey defined not only by crossings between East and West but by how artists and institutions learn to navigate the changes shaping practice, perception, and place.
