劉國夫作品《花25-8》被納入羅斯科美術館永久館藏

We are delighted to announce that Flower 25‑8 (2025) by Liu Guofu has been officially acquired into the permanent collection of the Rothko Museum.

Following the successful opening of “Painting of Entropy: Liu Guofu Solo Exhibition” on 5 June, this important institutional acquisition marks a new milestone in Liu’s artistic journey. The work will remain on view as part of the museum’s permanent collection display.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Māris Čačka, Museum Director, as well as Chief Curator Farida Zaletilo and the curatorial team, for their strong recognition of Liu’s practice and for fostering a meaningful artistic dialogue between his work and that of abstract master Mark Rothko.

Presented by the Rothko Museum, Liu’s exhibition enters into a profound dialogue with Rothko’s abstraction — exploring convergences and distinctions between Eastern and Western philosophies of colour, spirituality, and painterly expression. In this shared space, a cross‑temporal and cross‑cultural conversation unfolds.
