'Painting on-site is a practice shared by many eastern and western masters, from shi-tao to claude monet, resulting in an expansive abstract. much of my work is painted in this way, as it enables me to capture the ambience of the environment and nature- through the deep knowledge of the space, the inner beauty is ingrained in the artwork.'
